Man Talk

Infertility is not just a female issue - men account for around half of all infertility problems. With male infertility rates on the rise, it’s time to talk.

Men are welcome at all of our meet-ups and regularly join, offering a safe space to meet others and make sure you never feel alone.

Male fertility: Breaking the silence

Fertility challenges are often spoken about as a “women’s issue”, but this isn’t the case. Around 30% of fertility issues in heterosexual couples are due to male factor problems, with a further 30–40% involving both partners or remaining unexplained. It’s estimated that around 7% of men are affected by infertility.

So many men are impacted, whether directly or alongside their partner, and it can bring its own set of difficult thoughts and emotions. It’s not uncommon to feel unsure about where you fit in the process, or to feel the need to stay strong and keep things to yourself.

Spaces to talk, listen & be supported

We understand that everyone’s experience is different, and that opening up can feel like a big step. Open, honest conversations can make all the difference, but there is no expectation to share more than feels right for you.

Our aim is to offer a safe space where men feel comfortable, supported and able to talk - if and when they want to. Simply being around others who understand can make a big difference.

Man Talk Video

Showing that having honest conversations can make all the difference.
I was devastated but found it hard to share or show my emotions. At the time, it was my wife who needed looking after - but I also needed support. I had no one to speak to and felt I couldn’t burden her with my emotions because she was going through the same thing.
