More people are choosing to explore solo parenthood, and at Tiny Seeds we are seeing a growing number of single individuals considering this path to building a family.
We regularly welcome single people to our support meetings and wider services. Our support is open to everyone, regardless of relationship status, and we recognise that the journey to parenthood can look very different from person to person.

For those exploring treatment options, there are a number of pathways available. On-island, intrauterine insemination (IUI) may be an option. In some cases, in vitro fertilisation (IVF) may be needed. For single men, the path to parenthood may involve surrogacy.
At present, there is unfortunately no government funding available for single people pursuing fertility treatment on their own. This is something we continue to actively advocate for, as we believe access to fertility care should be fair and inclusive for all pathways to parenthood.
As a charity, we are able to offer IVF travel grants to individuals who fall outside of government funding criteria, including single applicants, to help support the additional costs of off-island treatment.
We understand that taking the first step can feel overwhelming, but you don’t need to navigate it alone. Our private Facebook support group is a great place to connect with others who understand what you may be going through, and you are always welcome at our in-person meet-ups and events.
However your journey unfolds, we are here to support you.
The Assisted Reproduction Unit (ARU) in Jersey provides specialist fertility investigations, advice and support for individuals and couples, offering a range of treatments and guidance to help people understand their options and improve their chances of conceiving.
Patients can be referred to the ARU by their GP, and in some cases can also make contact themselves for guidance on accessing the service and next steps in their care.
