What does Tiny Seeds do beyond direct support?

We work to raise awareness of fertility issues, reduce stigma, and advocate for better understanding and support - including in workplaces and the wider community.

What happens at a Tiny Seeds support meeting?

Our support meetings are informal, welcoming spaces where people can share experiences, listen, or simply be around others who understand. There is no pressure to talk - some people come just to listen, and that is completely okay.

What is Tiny Seeds and who do you support?

Tiny Seeds is a Jersey-based charity supporting anyone affected by fertility struggles, infertility, pregnancy loss or the emotional impact of fertility treatment. We are here for individuals and couples at any stage of their journey - whether you are just starting to ask questions or have been trying for some time.

When should I consider seeking help for fertility concerns?

Many people seek advice after trying to conceive for a year (or six months if over 35), but there is no 'right' time. If you have concerns, questions, or simply feel unsure, it's okay to seek support earlier.

Do I have to talk or share my story?

Not at all. You are free to participate in whatever way feels right for you. Listening quietly is just as valid as sharing.

How can I support a friend or colleague going through fertility issues?

Listening without judgement and acknowledging their experience can make a huge difference. We also provide resources to help friends, family and employers better understand fertility challenges.

What fertility treatments are available?

Fertility treatments vary and may include investigations, medication, IUI or IVF. What is right for each person depends on many factors. We can help explain options and signpost you to reliable information and support.

Who can access Tiny Seeds' support services?

Our support is available to people living in Jersey who are experiencing fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, or the emotional impact of treatment. We are here for people of every race, gender, relationship status, and sexual orientation. You don't need a referral, diagnosis, or to be undergoing treatment - if fertility is affecting you, you are welcome to reach out.

Do Jersey residents need to travel off-island for fertility treatment?

Some fertility services are available locally, but higher-level treatments such as IVF usually require off-island travel. We understand this adds emotional, logistical and financial pressure, and we are here to support you through that process.

Do you offer online or virtual support?

Yes. We offer online support options, including access to our private Facebook support group. This can be a helpful way to connect with others if attending in person feels difficult or isn't practical.

How can I support Tiny Seeds?

You can support us by donating, fundraising, volunteering, or simply helping to raise awareness of fertility issues in Jersey. Every contribution helps us continue our work.

Is Tiny Seeds' support confidential and free?

Yes. All of our services are completely free and confidential. We understand how sensitive fertility issues can be, and we treat every conversation with care, respect and privacy.

How do donations help?

Donations allow us to provide free support services, counselling, awareness, training and travel grants. Your support directly helps people navigating one of the most challenging experiences of their lives.

How do I choose a fertility clinic off-island?

Choosing a clinic can feel overwhelming. We encourage people to research success rates, treatment approaches and costs, and to consider what feels right for them. We can also share general guidance and experiences from others.

How do I get in touch with Tiny Seeds?

You can contact us via email, through our website contact form, or by messaging us on social media. We aim to respond as quickly as we can and will always treat your enquiry with kindness and discretion.

Is there support for pregnancy after infertility or loss?

Yes. Pregnancy after infertility or loss can bring complex emotions, and we recognise that support may still be needed. You are welcome to access Tiny Seeds support during this time.

Are there legal or parental considerations I should be aware of?

Fertility treatment, donor conception and surrogacy can involve legal considerations, particularly in Jersey. While we don't provide legal advice, we can help you understand the questions to ask and where to seek specialist guidance.

Can workplaces get involved?

Yes. We work with employers to promote fertility-friendly workplaces and provide guidance on supporting employees experiencing fertility challenges.

Do you offer counselling or emotional support?

Yes. We recognise the emotional toll fertility challenges can take and offer access to emotional support, including counselling options. You do not need to be in treatment to access this support.

What if fertility struggles are affecting my mental health?

You are not alone, and support is available. If fertility challenges are impacting your mental health, we encourage you to reach out to us, your GP, or a mental health professional. Asking for help is a sign of strength.

What is the Tiny Seeds Travel Grant?

Our travel grants are payments of £400 to help Jersey residents with the cost of travelling off-island for IVF. These are available to anyone who does not qualify for Government funded IVF.

Do you offer help with treatment costs?

Tiny Seeds does not fund fertility treatment itself, but we aim to reduce some of the financial pressure through travel grants and signposting to other sources of support where available.
