About me
As a former journalist I’m passionate about good communication and feel strongly that by sharing real life stories we can raise awareness and help other people feel less alone. That’s how I first met Chloé and became involved in supporting her to set up Tiny Seeds. I have personal experience of secondary infertility and IVF treatment and feel honoured to have been involved in the Tiny Seeds journey so far. I’m currently an elected States Member representing St Mary, St Ouen and St Peter in the States Assembly and regularly use my platform to champion fair access to fertility treatment and funding. I’d love to be able to say I have some really cool quirky hobbies but truth be told when I’m not working or helping out at Tiny Seeds events you’re most likely to find me on the sidelines of a football or rugby pitch or watching Netflix!
What I love about my role
It’s a real privilege to meet so many people and build connections - everyone who has been through infertility or who needs the help of fertility treatment to conceive is unique but we are bound together by a shared experience that often has a huge and lasting impact on us. That is a very special connection that can be hard for others to fully understand. We often joke that it’s like being part of a club that no one actually wants to be a member of. We may not choose membership, but I am incredibly proud to be part of the ‘club’ and get to meet and work with so many inspiring individuals and couples.
