Four years ago today, Tiny Seeds officially became a registered charity with one simple mission: to make sure nobody in Jersey has to face fertility struggles alone.
What started as an idea that came from lived experience has grown into an organisation we could never have imagined. Every conversation, every donation, every volunteer, every fundraiser and every person who has reached out for support has helped shape Tiny Seeds into what it is today.
Over the past four years, we’ve been privileged to support hundreds of islanders navigating fertility struggles, IVF, pregnancy loss, donor conception and the many different paths to building a family. We know these journeys can be some of the hardest people will ever face, and we are incredibly proud that Tiny Seeds has become a place where people can find understanding, connection and practical support.
We have built a growing support network for people across Jersey, provided emotional support through support groups, counselling and community events, and offered practical and financial help through initiatives including our IVF Travel Grant programme.
We have also worked to create wider change by raising awareness, improving conversations around fertility, supporting employers to become more fertility-friendly, and advocating for better fertility support and funding in Jersey.
Along the way, we have met some truly incredible people. Volunteers who have generously given their time, supporters who have fundraised in amazing ways, professionals who have shared their expertise, and members of our community who have bravely shared their stories to help others feel less alone.
Every one of those people has helped Tiny Seeds grow.
We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported Tiny Seeds over the past four years. Whether you have donated, volunteered, attended an event, shared one of our posts, partnered with us, or simply told someone about Tiny Seeds when they needed support – you have been part of this journey.
Your support has allowed us to continue showing up for people during some of the most difficult moments in their lives, and we are so grateful for the trust our community places in us.
While our anniversary is a moment to celebrate, it is also a reminder that our work is far from finished and we remain committed to making sure nobody in Jersey has to navigate fertility struggles alone. We look forward to seeing how much more we can achieve as the next four years unfold.
